The way Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao has been behaving with the media since Tuesday has created a doubt among the people as to whether he was sold out to the powers-that-be in Delhi.
KCR has been avoiding the media since the all-party meeting held by Home Minister P Chidambaram in Delhi on Tuesday. On Wednesday, too, he held one-on-one meeting with Chidambaram, but did not speak to the media much, except saying “the talks were fruitful.” Interestingly, KCR did not attend the meeting of Telangana Joint Action Committee held in Delhi.
Sources said the Andhra industrial lobby has been pumping in money in Delhi to scuttle the process of separate Telangana at any cost. The lobby is said to be bringing pressure on the Congress leadership to tame the TRS president first and the agitation would automatically die down. The Telangana issue could be kept in abeyance in the name of formation of committee to evolve consensus and so on.
Perhaps, the Centre must be luring KCR with money bags or even offering some key positions. Who knows, money can make many things!
